Paklenice is well known by rock climbers for the long vertical rock challenges it provides, in particular that of a large limestone rock massif known as Anica Kuk, rising 714 m. If plunging the depths rather than soaring the heights is your pleasure then you will be interested in what lies across the valley from Anica Kuk – 175 m long Manita Pec, one of the best known caves in Croatia with 2 large halls complete with stalagmites and stalactites.

Then there are the main surface geological features of the park, for those who wish to keep their feet firmly planted on the ground. Velika (large) and Mala (small) Paklenice are 2 canyons transecting the Park, and through which one can hike. Take note that Paklenice hosts one of the largest forests in the Mediterranean.

No matter how you spend your day in the park, relax in the evening back on the coast enjoying a fresh seafood dinner on the beach.
